Spring Lake, NJ is a resort beach town that was named after Spring Lake located in the town. The white sandy beaches have two miles of board walk with spectacular Atlantic Views. Many locals’ residents and tourists like comb the Spring Lake beaches in search of the beautiful seashells worthy of collecting. Other than the beaches Spring Lake receives many visitors who come to tour the town’s museum that was originally built as a school house in 1897. This 8 foot deep spring fed lake is home to many wild life creatures like fish, birds and animals that live and thrive among the surrounding woods and lake. The town was formed from the four shoes of developments that include Villa Park, Spring Lake Beach, Brighton-North Brighton, and Coma. This area was initially farm land until the full potential was discovered of the profit that could be made if it was converted into a resort town. Spring Lake’s population is around 3,000 people and among the local residents is Craig Biggo who plays for the Houston Astros as the second baseman.
