Seaside Heights
| In the early 1900’s Seaside Heights, NJ was originally purchased by a company to build vacation homes for some wealthy residents in Philadelphia. This was a well thought-out plan that returned several investments. By the mid to late 1900’s the beach town of Seaside Heights was in full swing. They had a railroad that came through town, a bridge was built so that the visitors were connected to the main land, and an amusement park was built between Seaside Heights and Seaside Park. | |

All the beaches in Seaside Heights are public access area and there is an entrance to the beach on almost every block. There are several activities that you can partake in on the beach such as sunbathing, swimming, volley ball, claming, crabbing, and snorkeling. This beach is even handicap friendly with a free surf chair for those who need it. The beaches are protected by A list lifeguards and no swimming is permitted if a lifeguard is not on duty. Some of the local favorite activities are parasailing, kayaking, jet skiing, sailing, and surfing. If you don’t own your own equipment that wont be a problem, because you can rent them along Route 37 on both sides of the street. After a long day of playing in the Atlantic Ocean, you can stroll along their boardwalk that is filled with entertainment and restaurants. Seaside Heights is also the place to be for the nightlife scene. Here they a wide variety of pubs to choose from depending on your personal preference. They have dance clubs, and clubs that offer relaxing environments for those just looking to kick their feet up under the stars. At the Bamboo Bar not only can you party in the club, but you can also live it up on their back deck. The Beach club offers a party time all night long. For some of the best dancing around visit the Club XS you can shake your grove thing on their huge dance floor while their stereo system is kicking out the bass. They even have a pub called the Wine Cellar that is located on the north part of the boardwalk. Seaside Heights also has some of the area’s finest restaurants for miles around. Residents and tourists from neighboring towns come to Seaside Heights to enjoy places like the Pasta Place, Roman’s Pizza, Sawmill Boardwalk, Seaside Clam Bar, Villa Victoria Al Mare, and the Wine Cellar restaurant.
