Belmar


 Belmar is one of the most popular beaches along the entire New Jersey shore. They stretch out over a mile long and have fantastic boardwalks. On their beaches they have playgrounds, sitting areas and restrooms every few blocks. Other attractions in Belmar are the annual Sand Castle Contests where visitors are encouraged to join the locals to see who can build the most spectacular sand castle.
Also between the months of June to August they have Summer Concert Series where every Friday everyone is invited to bring a lawn chair and listen to a different musical artist or group perform at the Pyanoe Plaza on Main Street.

For those who like to dance they also have Social Dancing activities that are held every Thursday on Ocean and 5th Aves. And last but not least is the Youth Sailing Regatta. This is for the youth to be able to show off their sailing skills.

While in New Jersey try eating at Brandl’s Restaurant. This elegant restaurant has many items on their appetizer menu such as Kobe Steak Tarter, Tuna Tarter, Jumbo Lump Crap Cake, or Field Greens. Then you can make a selection on their many entrees like their Kona Crusted Buffalo Tenderloin, Mushroom Dusted Sea Scallops or Grilled NY Steak.

Another restaurant option might be Matisse’s Restaurant. Here every Sunday they have an Interactive Sunday Brunch where you can choose from any of their display of specialty salads or seafood’s or you can choose from anything on their carving station or why not just create your own omelet at the omelet bar with ten ingredients to choose from.

Belmar is loaded with fine hotels or B&B’s to choose from. Belmar Beach B&B is located one block from the beach and it a turn-of-the-century Shore Victorian style B&B. They pride themselves in providing an “intimate atmosphere” for each and every one of their guests. This B&B is very close to where all the action is in Belmar such as fine restaurants, boardwalks, beach, or night clubs. All of which are within walking distance.

Directions: On NJ-138 East via exit 98 towards Belmar. This will lead directly into Belmar NJ.
