Beach Haven


Beach Haven, NJ is a small beach side town located on Long Beach Island with a population of 1,278. The beaches in Beach Haven are easily accessible from any street and they also have a toddler beach on the Bay with shallower waters for smaller children. A Beach Badge is required while and must be worn while on the beaches. The money from the beach badges goes towards hiring the lifeguards and preserving the beaches.
Their beaches are handicap friendly and they have four beach wheelchairs available for use
You can also have fun with your loved ones on the public pavilions where you can enjoy the warmth of the sun while on a picnic by the Atlantic Ocean. At the beach you may enjoy such activities as beach buggies (with a permit), fishing, scuba diving, surfing, swimming, and sunbathing.

An attraction that can be found within the town of Beach Haven is Fantasy Island Amusement Park. This Victorian style amusement park will make you think you have stepped back in time. They have brick walkways lined with oak benches, ornate lamp posts, and Tiffany glass chandeliers. Here the whole family can enjoy themselves on their many rides, games, arcades and eat all styles of food and ice cream. They are located at 320 Seventh Street, Beach Haven and are open for the season starting on Memorial Day.

In Beach Haven you will find an endless supply of restaurants to choose from during your vacation. Below is a few in the town that you can choose from.

There are also several fine hotels in the area to choose from including Engleside Inn, which has several amenities to make your stay more pleasurable. For instance they have a full size pool, located a few feet from the beach, a sushi bar on site, and an outside bar on site. They also have single rooms with two full size, queen size, or one king size bed. If you need a room with a kitchen they also offer efficiencies rooms. All their rooms have a refrigerator, cable TV, and internet access.

Directions: On NJ-37 East you will need to get off at exit 63. Then you will turn right onto Long Beach Blvd/CR-607 and follow it until Berkeley Ave where you will make a right. This will lead you straight into Beach Haven, NJ.
